Raw Materials

Raw Materials are the basic inputs used in production or assembly of finished products. They are usually purchased from suppliers and consumed during manufacturing or packaging processes.

Key characteristics:

  • Tracked as inventory and valued in the books.
  • Consumed by manufacturing orders or production processes.
  • Often managed with lead times, re-order rules, and supplier information.

How to work with Raw Materials in Ultro ERP:

  • Navigate to Products → Raw Materials to view or manage raw material items.
  • Click a row to view supplier details, on-hand quantities, and reorder rules.
  • Add a new raw material via Add New, including supplier, unit of measure, and valuation method.
  • Use the list view filters to find materials by supplier, part number, or procurement lead time.

Tip: Configure procurement rules and stock reorder levels on raw material records to automate purchase suggestions and prevent stockouts in Ultro ERP.
