General Items

General Items are catalog entries for miscellaneous goods that don’t fit standard product categories—examples include packaging materials, tools, spare parts, and other auxiliary items used in daily operations.

Key characteristics:

  • May be tracked with or without valuation depending on use.
  • Often used across departments (warehouse, maintenance, production).
  • Useful for administrative and support inventories that need reference or light tracking.

How to work with General Items in Ultro ERP:

  • Open Products → General Items to browse or add general inventory entries.
  • Click on a row to inspect details, notes, or usage guidelines.
  • Click Add New to create a general item and specify category, location and any supplier references.
  • Use list filters to quickly find general items by category, location, or tag.

Best practice: Use clear naming and categorization so General Items are easy to identify in consumption and purchase processes within Ultro ERP.
