Unassigned Lead
This page covers how to triage and assign unassigned leads in Ultro ERP — leads that have not yet been allocated to a team or user and appear in a common queue for assignment.
Unassigned leads are records that have not yet been allocated to a team or user. They appear in a common queue for triage and assignment so they can be distributed to the right team for follow-up.
How to work with Unassigned Leads
- View the unassigned queue
- Go to CRM → Unassigned Lead to see leads that are not yet assigned.
- Use filters such as source, region, or priority to triage the queue.
- Triage and assign
- Select one or more leads using the checkbox column.
- Use Assigned To to choose a Team and then a User (the User list will be filtered to members of the chosen team).
- Click Assign to allocate the selected leads.
- Claiming a lead (self-assign)
- Individual users can claim leads directly (if allowed) by selecting a lead and choosing the Claim / Assign to me action.
- Use filters to locate leads relevant to your territory or product area before claiming.
- Best practices for triage
- Prioritize leads by source and urgency (e.g., inbound web form and high-priority leads first).
- Use saved filters and bulk actions to assign many leads quickly during high-volume windows.
- Consider automation rules (if available) such as round-robin assignment or priority-based routing to reduce manual triage workload.
Notes
- When you assign a lead, the activity is recorded in the lead history for auditability.
- Unassigned queues are useful for intake teams or operations users who distribute inbound leads across field, inside sales, or account teams.
